About us
Who we are
The team behind the Worksite Manager is a unique combination of construction industry professionals and state-of-the-art technology builders. Having worked as subcontractors and installers ourselves for more than 20 years in Europe and America provided us with a unique knowledge base that most of our competitors cannot match. We know what a subcontractor needs and what their clients want in terms of managing and controlling your projects.
How it all began
Since 2004 we were looking for solutions that make daily life on site easier. With database systems and hardware solutions, we managed to gain certain improvements.
But we also learnt about the setbacks of implementing such new systems. Hardware was expensive, required extensive setup, and was often not suitable for construction site environments or had to be renewed for each project. Sometimes the use of a system did depend too much on a single person. When that person left, the system died.
The barriers to technology in construction are still high. With the unique nature of construction projects, there is the perception that standardised solutions are not practical. High turnover of staff together with complicated software monsters leads to a reluctance for companies and workers to “waste” their time being trained and getting used to new working methods. Although there are a lot of useful technology solutions, construction site problems are often solved by individual efforts.

It is more difficult for them to focus on these developments and to make the necessary adjustments due to their position in the value chain and smaller profit margins.
